Bermuda Turtle Project
Bermuda
The Bermuda Turtle Project, a cooperative research and education program by the Bermuda Aquarium, Museum and Zoo, and the Sea Turtle Conservancy. The research efforts of the Bermuda Turtle Project are focused on filling in the information gaps on green turtle biology so that successful protection may be given to these fascinating, vanishing animals. Bermuda is one of a number of locations worldwide where post-pelagic, immature green turtles occur in the complete absence of adults, thus providing scientists and resource managers with a unique opportunity to study the little understood juvenile stage of the green turtle.
Blue Conservancy
Italy
Blue Conservancy is an environmental and animal rights non-profit organization that has been involved in the protection of sea turtles in Calabria since 2006. It manages The Brancaleone Sea Turtle Recovery Center which has been active since 2006 and deals with the rescue, treatment and rehabilitation of sea turtles found in difficulty throughout the region, the Strait of Messina and the province.
CRAM Foundation
Spain
CRAM Foundation is dedicated to the protection of marine life. Its main activity is the clinic and rescue of endangered marine species, which will later be reintroduced to the wild, such as turtles and dolphins. The Foundation also carries out research into marine species and ecosystems, and educates to raise awareness of the need to conserve the oceans. In addition to the state-of-the-art recovery center, with a technical and human team specially trained to assist marine species, as well as the Vell Marí, one of the few scientific sailboats dedicated to the exploration of the marine environment.
CREMA Rescue Center for Endangered Marine Species
Costa Rica
Based in Costa Rica, CREMA is marine preservation organization which plays a role in the country's international shark fin trade. The group also does research so that they can protect ocean resources as well as persuade the country (and all Central America) to carry out sustainable fishing policies.
Conflict Island Conservation Initiative
Papua New Guinea
CICI’s goal is ‘to conserve, protect and enhance the natural environment and biodiversity of the habitats and species of the Coral Sea with a particular emphasis around the Conflict Islands Mission Blue Hope Spot in Milne Bay, Papua New Guinea, a critical part of the world renowned Coral Triangle and an important Turtle nesting site.’ Amongst other programmes, sea turtle conservation is one focus area, with a hatchery and nursery established in 2016. A volunteer program, allowing university students and recent graduates to gain practical experience. The program involves a combination of turtle tagging and monitoring, turtle husbandry and data entry. They work closely with communities to provide education, training and improve the conservation of marine ecosystems and associated species.
CostaSalvaje
Mexico
CostaSalvaje/Wildcoast is an international group that aims to conserve the coastal and marine ecosystems and wildlife around California and Latin America. They are fighting to conserve more than 31.9 million acres of globally significant wild coastlines, islands, lagoons, and oceans. Through educating local communities, advocating for conservation policies, and establishing and managing protected areas, Wildcoast is trying to reduce the impact of climate change, conserve coral reefs, prioritize sewage treatment, and protect wetlands and coastal wildlands.
ECOMAR
Belize
With a mission to inspire learning and conservation ethics through outreach programs, hands on participation and research, ECOMAR is a conservation organization in Belize with multiple engagements in conservation, including their St. George's Caye Research Station & Field School with supports archaeological and marine research. They also have a Turtle Watch Program which studies sea turtle populations, and are engaged in the Belize Coral Reef Watch Program (part of the Meso-American Coral Reef Watch Program and is an “Early Warning Alert System” for coral bleaching. There is also the Lionfish Project where ECOMAR, the Belize Fisheries Department and other partners work with stakeholders in Belize to manage the invasive lionfish.
Environmental Awareness Group

EAG is Antigua & Barbuda's first environmental organisation, committed to preserving Antigua & Barbuda's environments and promoting the sustainable use and management of their natural resources since 1989. EAG's strategies focus on involving community members in efforts to build environmental awareness and to protect the environment from harmful practices. Included amongst their projects is sea turtle conservation.
