Mwambao Coastal Community Network

Mwambao’s mission is facilitating a network linking coastal communities and other partner stakeholders that builds community resilience and improved sustainable coastal resource management and livelihoods. The network currently has eight member villages located in Unguja, Pemba, Tanga, Bagamoyo and Temeke Districts. Given the extensive marine resources in the area, attention is given to understanding the coastal marine ecosystems, improving fisheries management (with octopus an important catch) and an informed awareness of their natural resources in order to protect them in a sustainable manner. They have adopted Reef Ball technology to restore their coral reefs.
National Marine Sanctuary Foundation

The Foundation is a leading voice for U.S. protected waters, working with communities to conserve and expand those places for a healthy ocean, coasts, and Great Lakes. These protected places, the national marine sanctuaries, are home to a significant variety of species. They are protected by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and supported by the National Marine Sanctuary Foundation, who together partner with communities to educate, study, and conserve these spectacular places for future generations.

The role of the NPWS in the marine environment includes protection of marine habitats, protection of marine life in particular Cetaceans (principally dolphins) and seals, marine licencing, marine research and the control of marine research areas, amongst others.
Nature Foundation St. Maarten

The Nature Foundation located on the island of Sint Maarten, in the heart of the Caribbean, aims to preserve and enhance the natural environment of St. Maarten in the present moment and for generations to come through a variety of education, preservation, and research initiatives. This includes their most prominent protected area, the Man of War Shoal Marine Park as well as several ongoing projects to strengthen the resilience of our ecosystems and native wildlife. Their research and monitoring projects range from sea turtle conservation to water quality testing and shark tagging, and they actively promote environmental awareness in the community and teach the value of nature and sustainability in local schools.
Nature Society (Singapore)

Marine Conservation Group is a special interest group within the Nature Society (Singapore). The society is a ‘dynamic civil society organization which promotes nature awareness and appreciation, and forges local and international collaborations in the protection and preservation of Earth’s natural ecosystems. Its Marine Conservation Group supports the NGO’s activity, advocacy and outreach functions, and delivers scientific data needed for the conservation and management of the marine and coastal resources. The group’s activities are focused on limiting anthropogenic threats to the marine ecosystems, and include endangered species monitoring and ground-up governance initiatives.’
Natuurpunt

Natuurpunt administers and maintains northern Belgium's network of natural parks and nature centers in Flanders. They have a large base of members, volunteers and staff who work in the natural parks, preserving nature and educating the general public. Natuurpunt also works on coastal issues to protect Belgian beaches.
New York Marine Rescue Center

The New York Marine Rescue Center is a rescue and rehabilitation organization that promotes marine conservation. They work to preserve and protect the marine environment through conservation efforts including rescue, rehabilitation, education and research, and are the primary responders for sick or injured seals, sea turtles, dolphins, porpoises and small toothed whales, and maintain the only marine mammal and sea turtle rehabilitation center in New York State.
New Zealand Marine Sciences Society

NZMSS is society of marine science professionals, organisations and students, which exists to support and connect marine science and scientists across a wide range of disciplines in New Zealand. Their goal: 'to keep the marine science community connected, supported and involved in marine issues.' NZMSS membership is available to all those with a scientific interest in the marine environment, including the uptake of science in marine policy, resource management, conservation and the marine business sector.

NROC is a state and federal partnership that facilitates the New England states, federal agencies, regional organizations, and other interested regional groups in addressing ocean and coastal issues that benefit from a regional response, providing a forum for discussion and strategizing. Their current focus is on: Ocean and Coastal Ecosystem Health, Coastal Hazards Resilience and Ocean Planning
Northern Ireland Marine Task Force

NIMTF is a coalition of ten environmental organisations working towards healthy, productive and resilient seas for Northern Ireland. The organisations include: RSPB NI, Ulster Wildlife, Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust, Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful, National Trust, Friends of the Earth, Irish Whale and Dolphin Group, Northern Ireland Environment Link, WWF and the Marine Conservation Society.
