PADI's foundation has evolved from Project Aware to PADI AWARE Foundation as of April 2021. It was established to help conserve underwater environments through a wide variety of activities including education, advocacy, and action, and covers coral reef restoration, protection of sharks and rays, marine debris, marine protected areas, amongst others.
