Description

The Cornwall Wildlife Trust is a charitable organisation founded in 1962 that is concerned solely with Cornwall, England. It deals with the conservation and preservation of Cornwall's wildlife, geology and habitats managing over 50 nature reserves covering approximately 4,300 acres, amongst them Looe Island. They are actively involved in marine conservation, with extensive training of volunteers to monitor marine mammals, respond to strandings, and survey of marine environments. A recent project to restore Cornwall’s seagrass meadows in the Fal Estuary has attracted attention, amidst their many other projects protecting life on the land and in the sea.
